This is copy of letter sent to Ladder Admin.
(My friend helps translate this for I am not great in English)
My ladder name is Komodo, and I have had a horrible experience with this guy carlos. Yesterday, he joined my game, and after a point when he started to lose, disconnected. I waited for *more than five minutes* for him to return. Finally, he comes back. I tell him that he can load his save, assuming that this will leave us at whichever point of the game he saw last. Well, he hadn't bothered to save it, and actually *refused to answer me* when I asked him, repeatedly, why he hadn't saved it.
He tells me to load my save, which was an autosave. I do, but that save is from one turn before he apparently disconnected. He starts to complain. What had happened was this: He attacked, at night, my Clasher on the left village, with two archers. Clasher got hit 4 times or so, taking 20 damage (He couldn't have killed it even if he'd have hit all. There were a bunch of drakes and saurians that were all one turn away from these archers (that is, *at the point of his disconnect.* When we resumed from the autosave, they were two turns away, and I had to again move the whole group over to the left; a completely obvious move that he later accused me of making *only after the reload,* even though I could already see all of his units on the left, and could clearly tell that an attack on that side was coming), and two Clashers that could attack them on the very next turn. (He'd been doing foolish attacks like this all game actually, but, though he was surely losing at this point, my -20% inflicted prolonged the game.)
Anyways: My autosave took us to half a turn before the attack of the two archers, which was the beginning of turn 12, just before I moved my units, and just before he went for the clasher on the village. So, we start to play again from that point. I recreate all of my moves to the best of my memory, though there were many to make. His turn begins and he starts to play again, and he does that same attack again, this time hitting only 2 or 3 times with the archers, less than before. Now, he turns into an awful person. He says "That Drake Fighter of yours moved differently! You're cheating!" I had a Drake Fighter that could now apparently reach one of his two archers (as I said, this mattered not one bit, and he'd have surely lost two archers and a cavalry, and would not have even killed the Clasher, if he persisted). I explained that I had recreated my moves to the best of my memory, and asked how he could possibly expect me to remember exactly the hex where each unit was. He repeats that I'm cheating, and seems like he is about to leave.
I say "What do you want? We can keep reloading until your archer hits as many times as you want. We can reload and I will put the Fighter *anywhere on the board you want.*" He again says that I've cheated, and disconnects. (Some bits of this conversation occurred after his disconnect- It's hard to remember what came before or after exactly). When I tell him of my intent to report this win, he told me that he would not only revoke it, but that he would "Tell the admins what I'm up to."
Is this guy absolutely insane? Does he even believe what he's saying, or is this a deliberate attempt to take even the smallest opportunity to try to get out of a loss? I'm almost positive that it's the latter, that he is putting on a show (also slandering me by telling people not to play with me because I'm a cheater) to try to discredit me and help his own reputation. Some of the other ladder people that I've talked to told me that it is not the first time he's done this sort of thing, and that he's always gotten away with it.
I thought you should know about this, as I do not intend to let this worm bully me into not reporting the game.
I'll send you the save, though that won't mean too much. Most of our conversation occurs after this save ends.
